Veolia Environnement (Paris: VIE) has hired Deutsche Bank and J.P. Morgan to manage the sale of its UK-based water business, according to Reuters. The deal could be worth around $1.5 billion, with private equity infrastructure funds expected to be interested.
Evenflo Co., a Miamisburg, Ohio-based maker of juvenile products, has agreed to sell its worldwide feeding business – excluding its Ameda breast pump unit – to Kimberly-Clark de México. Qatar Telecom is looking to purchase a 19% stake in Iraqi telecom operator Asiacell from private equity firm MerchantBridge, according to Reuters. Qatar Telecom already holds a 30% stake in Asiacell, and is being advised by Morgan Stanley.
