Puma Biotechnology, a Los Angeles-based biotech company focused on the development and acquisition of cancer therapies, has raised around $55 million in VC funding. Adage Capital Partners led the round, and was joined by Brookside Capital, H&Q Healthcare Investors, H&Q Life Science Investors, Jennison Associates, Orbimed advisors and T. Rowe Price. In other Puma news, the company licensed global commercial rights to a tyrosine kinase inhibitor from Pfizer. www.pumabiotechnology.com

Enterproid, a New York-based of enterprise mobility platforms, has raised $11 million in Series A funding. Comcast Ventures led the round, and was joined by Google Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures. www.enterproid.com

AiHit, a Britsh developer of an automated data management system that extracts and analyzes unstructured data from the web, has raised $5.5 million in VC funding from VTB Capital of Russia. AiHit had been seeded by the Amadeus & Angels Seed Fund. www.aihit.com

Xfire, a Los Angeles-based social service for gamers, has raised $4 million in VC funding led by Intel Capital. www.xfire.com

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6

Contour Energy Systems, an Azusa, Calif.-based developer of portable battery systems, has raised more than $20 million in Series C funding. EDBI of Singapore led the round, and was joined by return backers CMEA Capital, Harris & Harris, Schlumberger and U.S. Venture Partners.www.contourenergy.com

Veggie Grill
, an operator of health-conscious comfort food restaurants in Southern California, has raised $11 million in third-round funding from firms like Brentwood Associates. www.veggiegrill.com

Kareo Inc.
, an Irvine, Calif.-based developer of cloud-based practice management and medical billing software for U.S. physicians, has raised $10 million in VC funding. Greenspring Associates led the round, and was joined by OpenView Venture Partners and Western Technology Investment.www.kareo.com

Amadesa
, an Evanston, Ill.-based enterprise SaaS company focused on website testing and relevancy targeting, has raised $7.4 million in Series B funding co-led by Gemini Israel Funds and Carmel Ventures. www.amadesa.com

Keek Inc.
, a Toronto-based social networking platform for sharing video status updates, has raised C$5.5 million in VC funding from firms like AlphaNorth Asset Management and Plazacorp Ventures.www.keek.com

CoolIT Systems Inc.
, a Calgary-based developer of liquid cooling technologies, has raised C$6.2 million in Series B funding from firms like Chart Venture Partners and return backer iNovia Capital.www.coolitsystems.com

Tower Cloud Inc., a St. Petersburg, Fla.-based provider of wireless backhaul services, has raised $49 million in new VC funding. Return backers include The Burton Partnership and Knology Inc. co-led the round, and were joined by fellow return backers Sutter Hill Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, Ballast Point Ventures, Kinetic Ventures, ITC Partners Fund and Noro-Moseley Partners. CV Ingenuity, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based developer of a drug-eluting balloon platform technology that aims to treat peripheral artery disease and prevent restenosis, has raised $16 million in Series B funding.New Enterprise Associates led the round, and was joined by return backers BioStar Ventures, Synergy Ventures and Western Technology Investment. www.cvingenuity.com

Enlightened Inc.,  a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of commercial lighting control solutions, has raised $14 million in funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Intel Capital.www.enlighted.com

Interrad Medical Inc., a Minneapolis-based developer of vascular catheter securement devices, has raised around $10 million in Series C funding via a private placement by RBC Wealth Management Group. www.interradmedical.com

NxThera Inc., a St. Paul, Minn.-based developer of  vapor ablation therapy to treat a variety of endourology conditions, has raised $9 million in new Series B funding. The round total is now $21.6 million, including a first close this past spring. Backers include American Medical Systems, Arboretum Ventures, Aberdare Ventures, GDN Holdings, Mitsui & Co., Premier Asia Capital, Alafi Capital and Prolog Ventures.www.nxthera.com

Predixion Software, a San Juan Capistrano, Calif.-based developer of collaborative predictive analytics solutions, has raised $6 million in Series B funding. An undisclosed strategic investor led the round, and was joined by return backers DFJ Frontier, Miramar Venture Partners and Palomar Ventures.www.predixionsoftware.com

Cloudbot, a Chicago-based app that aggregates users’ online presence into a single interface, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding. Lightbank led the round, and was joined by Draper Associates and Hyde Park Angels. www.cloudbot.com

Astonish Results, a Warwick, R.I.-based provider of digital marketing and lead management solutions for independent insurance agencies, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Serent Capital.www.astonishresults.com

Studer Group, a Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based healthcare performance improvement company, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from JMI Equity. Cain Brothers served as placement agent.www.studergroup.com

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4

Coupons.com Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of digital coupons, has raised $30 million from Greylock Partners. The company previously raised $200 million from undisclosed investors, of which around half was used for founder and early shareholder liquidity. www.coupons.com

Creabilis SA, an Italy-based biotech focused on dermatology, inflammation and pain, has raised EUR 15 million in Series B funding. Abbott Biotech Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Neomed and Sofinnova Partners. www.creabilis-sa.com

PaySimple, a Denver-based provider of accounts receivable automation solutions for small businesses, has raised $16 million in new funding led by Susquehanna Growth Equity. www.paysimple.com

Axcient, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of data backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery services for SMEs, has raised $15.5 million in Series C funding. Scale Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Allegis Capital, Peninsula Ventures and Thomvest Ventureswww.axcient.com

Phagenesis Ltd., a British medical device company focused on the treatment of dysphagia, has raised ?7 million in Series B funding led by Inventages. www.phagenesis.com

BigTime Software Inc.
, a Chicago-based provider of cloud-based productivity tools for professional services firms, has raised $2.7 million in Series A funding. Backers include Runa Capital, LTC Partners, Geneva Venture Investment Management, Hickory Grove LLC and Howell Capital.www.bigtime.net

Startwire, a Lebanon, N.H.-based online job search platform, has raised $3.25 million in Series A funding led by Baird Venture Partners. www.startwire.com

Diagnovus LLC, a Nashville, Tenn.-based molecular diagnostics company focused on cancer, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Limestone Fund and TriStar Technology Ventures.www.tstventures.com

WhoSay Inc., a personal media management platform for celebrities and influencers, has raised an undisclosed amount of new funding from Greylock Partners. WhoSay was co-founded by talent agency CAA, and also has raised VC funding from Amazon Investments and High Peaks Ventures. www.whosay.com

MONDAY, OCTOBER 3

T2 Systems, an Indianapolis-based provider of SaaS parking management solutions, has raised $28 million in equity funding from Pamlico Capital. www.t2systems.com

Mobeam, a Cupertino, Calif.-based that helps mobile phones interact with laser scanners at checkout, has raised $4.9 million in Series A funding from yet2Ventures, Samsung Ventures and Mitsui.www.mobeam.com

Loylty Rewardz Management, an Indian loyalty and relationship management company, has raised $4.4 million in Series B funding led by Canaan Partners. www.loylty.com

Enkata, a Redwood City, Calif.-based provider of cloud-based analytics solutions, has raised $4.4 million in Series C funding. IT Farm Corp. led the round, and was joined by return backers Apex Venture Partners, Comventures and Sigma Partners. www.enkata.com
