Rebecca Ann Hughes is an Edinburgh-born and Cambridge-educated journalist living in Italy. She has been writing about travel, food, wine, art, culture and politics for various international publications for nearly a decade. She is a regular contributor to Forbes and Euronews. Rebecca has bylines in publications including the Independent, the Telegraph, National Geographic, Atlas Obscura and Apollo Magazine. In 2023, she was shortlisted for the AITO Travel Writer of the Year award. She has also reported on current affairs in Italy for Times Radio, BBC Radio Wales and BBC World News TV and recently collaborated on an Al Jazeera documentary about migrants in Italy.
