Allie Garfinkle is a senior writer and editor at Fortune, where she runs Term Sheet—the flagship weekday dealmaking newsletter—and leads coverage of private capital, investors, and startups. She writes longform features—her first Fortune cover story profiled AI pioneer Demis Hassabis’s Isomorphic Labs—and co-chairs the Brainstorm conference series. The host of the Term Sheet podcast, she’s also been a frequent moderator at major conferences like SXSW and regular contributor to the BBC. Before Fortune, Allie covered Amazon, Google, and Meta at Yahoo Finance and helped produce Emmy-nominated PBS Frontline documentaries, including Elon Musk's Twitter Takeover and The Power of the Fed. She holds degrees from The University of Chicago and NYU and is based in New York.
