This invitation-only conference brought together more than 125 of the world’s most influential female business leaders to discuss our theme, A New Era for Business: Partnering for Global Prosperity. Together participants examined key forces shaping the worldwide business landscape and, specifically, how the public and private sectors can partner to supercharge innovation and growth. Other topics on the agenda included assessing global leadership in crisis, navigating economic shifts and their business impacts, deploying emerging technologies at scale, and exploring new opportunities across investing and health care, as well as how the businesses of sports, entertainment, and design are evolving.
We learned how women are redefining the norms of corporate and societal leadership, and we dived into the challenges and opportunities of driving real change across workplaces and communities. Fortune’s signature peer-to-peer discussions, high-level networking, and news-making conversations ensure that attendees gather unique insights and actionable business solutions.
We did all of this in a country invested in growth, innovation, and promoting the progression of women in both business and society, as evidenced by Saudi Arabia’s progressive Vision 2030. Affirming the initiative’s goals, women’s participation in the workforce has doubled over the past six years and 45% of small and midsize businesses in Saudi Arabia are now owned by women. Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Riyadh provided global leaders access to this burgeoning market, creating partnership opportunities and extending the global community.
