  • Chipotle will offer free guacamole and queso to members of its rewards program the day after the Super Bowl. During the game, it will give out codes for up to 50,000 entrées at the fast-casual chain.

Just in case you fail to pack in enough calories at your Super Bowl party this year, Chipotle is offering free guacamole and queso blanco the day after the big game.

The fast-casual restaurant chain has declared Monday, February 10 “Extra Sunday” and will give out the side items to members of its Chipotle Rewards program with the purchase of every entrée. (You’ll need to order via the company’s app and use the promo code EXTRA25 to get the freebies.

Not a guac person? Don’t care for queso? You’ll also have the chance to win a free entrée during this year’s Super Bowl as the restaurant says it will give away 50,000 during the course of the game.

When something “extra” happens during the game, Chipotle says, it will post a text-to-claim code on its Twitter/X and Instagram accounts. Text that code to 888-222 to receive a free entrée code. Each post will only offer a certain number of redeemable codes, so slow fingers will cost you free food.

What’s something “extra” in a game as big as the Super Bowl? It could be a fourth-down conversion by the Chiefs or Eagles. An extra point or two-point conversion would also qualify. Basically, anything that makes the Chipotle social team’s socks roll up and down will result in a code being posted.

The thinking behind “Extra Sunday,” the chain says, is the millions of people who miss work the day after the Super Bowl. Last year, an estimated 16.1 million workers took an unofficial holiday, according to data from the UKG Workforce Institute.

This year’s Super Bowl will air on Feb. 9 on Fox.
