If you love to cook, you know the struggle of trying to follow a recipe, turn a page in a cookbook, or double-check an ingredient while you’re elbow deep in a mixing bowl. To help you out, Google developed a new Google Home feature to act as your sous chef in the kitchen—reading the recipe aloud for you, so you can stay focused on what you’re cooking.

Starting today, Google Home owners will now be able to use the device to follow step-by-step directions with the Google Assistant for up to 5 million recipes. The feature will be compatible with a wide variety of recipes, from big food publications to smaller blogs, giving you a ton of flexibility when picking your next meal.

To use the feature, users simply have to say “start recipe,” and the Assistant will read the first step. The user can then ask for the following steps at their own speed. When using the new feature, users can also ask the Assistant to repeat steps, set multiple timers, and ask for measurement conversions. All of these features are intended to make cooking less stressful from start to finish, allowing food preparation to be a relaxing sensory experience and not a hectic attempt at multitasking.

You can check out a video of how the system will work on YouTube, or watch the Super Bowl Ad that made viewer’s Google Home devices go crazy.
