The daughter of Dr. David Dao, the man who was forcibly removed from a United Airlines flight over the weekend, is holding a press conference Thursday, during which Dao’s lawyer is also expected to speak.
The press conference will be held in Chicago, where Dao was hospitalized for his injuries from the incident. Dao may take legal action against United — his lawyers filed an emergency “Bill of Discovery” request with an Illinois state court on Wednesday. If approved, United and the city of Chicago (which runs Chicago O’Hare International Airport) would have to preserve surveillance videos, cockpit voice recordings, and passenger and crew lists related to United Flight 3411.
The incident has led to a torrent of criticism against United Airlines.
