The new owners of President Donald Trump’s Taj Mahal casino plan to turn it into a Hard Rock Cafe.
The casino’s owners are planning a nearly $400 million investment in Trump’s old property, Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
That money will be used to completely redesign the Taj Mahal casino. Hard Rock International CEO Jim Allen said the renovation will “Do it right.”
“Do it right doesn’t mean just some new carpet, it doesn’t mean just some new memorabilia,” Allen said. “It means a complete renovation of all the guest rooms… literally taking the bathrooms out and redoing them. It means all new furniture, it means a complete redesign of the casino floor.”
Hard Rock International purchased Trump’s old property from billionaire investor Carl Icahn, who also serves as an adviser on regulatory overhaul to the president.
