UPDATE: House Republicans opted to withdraw the health care bill Friday afternoon, according to the Associated Press. Several more Republicans said they would not support the bill Friday.
The House of Representatives was slated vote on the GOP’s Obamacare replacement plan on Friday, one day later than initially planned.
The bill, officially known as the American Health Care Act, has been a source of controversy since it was unveiled. The most conservative members of the House were opposed due to concerns it didn’t do enough to completely repeal Obamacare. Although President Trump met with several of these members at the White House on Thursday, it is unclear if they will back the legislation.
Democrats, on the other hand, remain staunchly opposed. The vote will likely be divided along partisan lines.
