The United Nations is observing International Women’s Day with a theme called “Women in the Changing World of Work: Planet 50-50 by 2030” starting at 10:30 AM ET.
On Wednesday, speakers ranging from Iceland Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson to actor Anne Hathaway, a global goodwill ambassador for the UN, will participate in the UN’s official commemoration of the holiday. Later in the day, panelists from a variety of industries will discuss the “opportunities and challenges the changing world of work presents for women,” according to a release.
