The International House of Pancakes is giving customers a chance to put their money where their mouth is.
On Tuesday, IHOP celebrates its annual National Pancake Day with a free short stack for customers from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some locations will offer the deal until 10 p.m.
Rather than paying the typical $4.79 for a short stack, IHOP is asking customers to donate to one of its partnered charities instead. The breakfast chain is seeking to raise at least $3.5 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Shriners Hospitals for Children, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The proceeds will help children battle critical illnesses, the company said.
This year marks the 12th anniversary of National Pancake Day. Since its inception, IHOP says it has raised over $24 million for charity with the help of its guests.
