Oprah Winfrey has said she has no interest in running for President — but Donald Trump’s first few weeks in office have apparently made her rethink that.
When the iconic talk show host appeared on David Rubenstein’s show on Bloomberg Media, Rubenstein brought up the topic of the presidency.
“It’s clear you don’t need government experience,” Rubenstein said, in a reference to Trump.
“I thought…I don’t have the experience,” Winfrey said. “And now I’m thinking — oh.”
Winfrey may not have public office credentials, but she’s been a major public figure in the U.S. for decades. She hosted her own show for 25 years before launching a network in 2011 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013 by President Obama.
