The wait times for TSA security lines have been getting longer and longer, and things are only expected to get worse this summer. We got a glimpse of this first hand when someone posted a video on YouTube showing the line at Chicago’s Midway International Airport.
Entitled “TSA are you f***ing kidding me?,” the man filming says, “OK here’s the start, let’s see how long this thing is.” He then takes two minutes to walk down the line that winds all the way around the terminal to the train. “This is still just the beginning. We’re just getting started,” he says.
Other travelers posted images from the long line saying it took them almost two hours to get through security.

This comes after TSA’s announcement last week that staffing issues would lead to more delays. “This is going to be a rough summer; there is no doubt about it,” Gary Rasicot, TSA chief of operations, told the New York Times. “We are probably not at the staffing level we would like to be to address the volume. This is why we are talking about people getting to the airport a little earlier than planned.”
Taking a more light hearted approach to the situation, an airline trade group, Airlines for America, just launched a website called “ihatethewait.com” for passengers to complain about long waits in airport security lines.
