Amazon’s popular virtual assistant, Alexa, just got smarter—that is when it comes to when your Amazon packages are arriving.
Alexa has become popular through its ability to answer questions, turn on lights, order items like diapers, and even call you an Uber through the e-commerce giant’s voice-controlled home devices Echo and Echo Dot. Next up for Alexa is making sure you know when your Amazon packages are arriving at your doorstep.

If you’re expecting packages from Amazon, you simply ask Alexa, through the Echo, when your next package will arrive. Alexa will also tell you who placed the order in your household and when. Users can ask, “Alexa, where’s my stuff?” or “Alexa, track my package.” All this is made possible because your Alexa account is connected to your Amazon.com account and can detect when you’ve ordered more toilet paper or laundry detergent.
Amazon said that Alexa will be able to give you shipping information as soon as the shipment appears on the “Your Orders” page on Amazon.com.

Unlike some of Amazon’s past tries at hardware, including the Fire phone, Echo has become popular that Amazon sold out of the Internet-connected appliance, which retails for $180. Amazon started selling more Echo devices in April, but quickly sold out again. Now, new Echo devices won’t ship until June.
The Echo Dot costs $89.99, but it is available only for Amazon Prime members.
