Starbucks (SBUX) is adding a new espresso and milk mixture to its core menu — the Latte Macchiato.
The coffee chain’s newest drink will be available in the U.S., Canada, and at some locations in Latin America as of Jan. 5. The company announced the news in a press release, describing the newest drink as “steamed whole milk that is perfectly aerated and free-poured creating dense foam reminiscent of meringue” with “slowly-poured full espresso shots.”

This is the sixth drink to enter Starbucks’ core espresso menu. On the scale from bold to creamy, the Latte Macchiato hits close to the middle, leaning slightly heavier towards bold.
The next step up towards creamy is the Flat White, which was launched in U.S. and Canada locations in January of last year. Just a few months later, in April, Fortune reported that the company’s sales had grown by 7% thanks in part to the new drink.
