Choose the Exact Room You Want at These Hotels

Hilton Worldwide (HLT) is rolling out a smartphone app that will allow guests to check in and pick the exact room they’d like from a digital floor plan. The app was first made available to Hilton HHonors members for use at a handful of brands from Waldorf Astoria to Homewood Suites last summer, with full use at 11 Hilton brands globally by the end of this year. According to a survey conducted by Hilton, approximately 84 percent of business travelers said they wanted the ability to choose their own rooms. By 2016 the app will also allow travelers at most Hilton properties to unlock their hotel rooms with their phones. The app will be available for both iOS and Android.
