Normal people weren’t the only ones hurt by Monday’s turbulent stock market. The world’s richest people saw losses in the billions, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Here’s a list of 12 individuals who lost more than $1 billion Monday, along with their overall ranking in terms of world’s richest people. Their combined losses add up to nearly $23 billion. The only person among the world’s 10 richest people not appearing on this list is Ingvar Kamprad (#8), who lost $820.3 million.
