Uber has a new weapon in its ongoing effort to recruit more drivers: a video game.

The ride-sharing platform will launch UberDRIVE, a mobile game that lets users experience what it’s like to be an Uber driver. The game asks users to pick up passengers from one location and take them to another all while following a real map of San Francisco that’s powered by Google Maps. Players earn in-game cash and unlock new cars and new areas of the city as they advance.

Game users who are interested in the real thing are able to sign up and start the driver screening process from within the game. The mobile game is also intended to be an instructional tool to enhance current drivers’ navigation skills.

If the game takes off, the company plans to add content based on other major metropolitan areas.
