The days of cutting up old T-shirts to use as rags are over: Cleaning supplies-gone-glam is the latest trend in homekeeping. Adding a little glitz to chores has never been easier, no matter the task at hand. From specialty laundry detergents to gutter cleaning robots, these are some of the most stylish — and priciest — cleaning products on the market. They may not make cleaning more enjoyable, but they’ll certainly make you look good while you’re doing it!

The Laundress Detergents

The Laundress was founded by Gwen Whiting and Lindsey Boyd, both graduates of Cornell University’s Fiber Science, Textile and Apparel Management and Design program. In addition to their Signature Detergent ($20.50/32 fl. oz.), they offer detergents made specifically for whites, darks, delicates and denim.

The Sweater Stone

When it comes to de-pilling cashmere and other fine textiles, forget those fabric shavers and invest in a Sweater Stone. Made from natural pumice, the Sweater Stone removes pills and restores clothing to an almost-new state.

Dyson DC59 Cordless Vacuum

A vacuum is only effective if you use it, and Dyson's new line of cordless machines are so lightweight that they take the pain out of vacuuming. The DC59 offers a lot of power with a price tag to match: One of these bad boys will set you back to the tune of $549.99.

iRobot Looj Gutter Cleaning Robot

Cleaning out the gutters is a terrible but necessary task for most home owners. So the folks at iRobot created a machine to do the work for you. The Looj ($299.99) can be operated manually or by remote control, and moves both forward and backwards so that it can return right to you — no retrieval required.

Christophe Pourny Shoe Care Kit

This kit, which retails for $55.00, contains three different shoe care products packaged in a reusable wooden crate. The Leather Cream is used for regular maintenance, while the Leather Serum, made from Italian avocado oil, restores luster to dried and cracked leather. The Shoe Tonic can be used to clean and protect leather shoes, bags and jackets.

As You Like It Silver Polish

The As You Like It Silver Shop in New Orleans is well known among collectors of silver and silver-plate. Its house-brand silver polish ($10/8 oz.), which can be ordered online, is a cult favorite and a truly extraordinary product.

Good Home Natural Floor And Crate Cleaner For Pets

Man's best friend is also one of man's biggest mess makers, but Good Home has you covered with its Natural Floor and Crate Cleaner For Pets ($18/32 fl. oz). Made from 100% natural ingredients that are both pet and kid safe, the "Playing In The Meadow" scent was created without the use of essential oils that can be fatal to cats.

Caldrea Dish Soap

Move over Mrs. Meyer's, there's a new gorgeously scented dish soap in town! Caldrea's line of dish soaps comes in 10 scents, plus special seasonal fragrances, that include Mandarin Vetiver, Black Coriander Lime and Rosewater Driftwood. A 16 fl. oz. bottle retails for $9.

Casabella Sparkle Sponges

You'll never go back to Brillo once you've gotten your dishpan hands on these super glam scrubbing sponges from Casabella. A set of 3 will cost you $9.99, but they're machine washable and oh so very pretty.

10. Samsung King-size Capacity, Touch Screen LCD Front-Load Washer

Sure, $1,499 is a lot to spend on a washing machine, but this supersized model from Samsung has features like touch screen programming and can be controlled by a smartphone. If only it could fold and put away the clothes for you.
