Apple (AAPL) shares finished June up 20% for the quarter and 2.8% for the month, which is a little out of character.
July, not June, tends to be the stock’s hottest month, with back-to-school sales clearing last year’s inventory even as the drumbeat of rumors — all those promises of end-of-summer product releases — grows louder.
