FORTUNE — SpoonRocket, a startup that delivers healthy meals in 10 minutes or less, landed $11 million in Series A funding and brought on fine dining-chef Barney Brown to expand its offerings, the company announced Thursday.

Foundation Capital led the Series A funding, and Paul Holland, a general partner with Foundation, will fill a seat on SpoonRocket’s board of directors. Paul’s primary focus is on helping startups go from zero to $100 million in revenue and has helped two venture-funded software companies go public.

The food-delivery company, which takes orders through its iOS, Android and desktop apps, is expanding its footprint in San Francisco to provide lunch service across the city and is expecting to add dinner options soon, beefing up its current delivery radius. SpoonRocket now serves dinner and lunch in the East Bay and lunch in sections of San Francisco.

Part of its expansion includes bringing on chef Brown of The Rotunda at Neiman Marcus in San Francisco. Brown has worked with all-star chefs at Le Cirque and Star and has a James Beard Best New Restaurant nomination to his name for his restaurant Betelnut. He will help SpoonRocket scale its offerings and will oversee the menu development.

SpoonRocket, which came through Y Combinator with BloomThat, is revolutionizing the definition of fast-food by delivering meals to diners’ doors in 10 minutes or less for $8 without additional delivery fees. The company also donates the equivalent of one meal for every meal purchased through the World Food Program.
