Svelte Medical Systems, a New Providence, N.J.-based developer of coronary stent platforms, has raised $22 million in new VC funding. New Science Ventures and CNF Investments co-led the round, which brings the company’s total funding to $65 million. www.sveltemedical.com

Kumu Networks, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based developer of technology that can double the capacity of wireless networks, has raised $15 million in Series B funding. Third Point Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers NEA and Khosla Ventures. www.kumunetworks.com

CENTRI Technology, a Seattle–based provider of mobile bandwidth optimization and bandwidth management solutions, has raised $13 million in Series C funding from firms like Angel Valkyrie.www.centritechnology.com

Spartz Inc., a Chicago-based provider of digital media publishing services, has raised $8 million in Series A funding from Garland Capital Group. www.spartzmedia.com

TabTale, an Israeli maker of interactive books, games and education apps for children, has raised $12 million in new VC funding from Qualcomm Ventures and return backer Magma Venture Partners. Vintage Investment Ventures also participated. www.tabtale.com

PathoGenetix Inc., a Woburn, Mass.-based developer of an automated system for rapid bacterial identification, has raised $10 million in Series C funding. Return backers were Ascension Health Ventures, Excel Venture Management and HealthCare Ventures. www.pathogenetix.com

Circle
, a Boston-based developer of digital currency acceptance tools for merchants, has raised $9 million in Series A funding from Accel Partners, Jim Breyer and General Catalyst Partners. Circle is founded by Jeremy Allaire, whose past companies include Brightcove (Nasdaq: BCOV) and Allaire Corp (sold to Macromedia). www.circle.com

Runnable
, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based “centralized location for finding code,” has raised $2 million in seed funding. Sierra Ventures led the round, and was joined by Resolute.VC and individual angels.www.runnable.com

Alector LLC, a San Francisco-based developer of therapeutics for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding co-led by Polaris Partners and OrbiMed Advisors. www.alector.com
