The Blackstone Group has completed its previously-announced acquisition of Vivint, a Provo, Utah-based provider of provider of home technology services, at an enterprise value of just over $2 billion. Vivint had been 50% owned by Goldman Sachs, Jupiter Partners and Peterson Partners – all three of which sold their stakes to Blackstone. Company management also sold a portion of its holdings, thus giving Blackstone a majority stake. www.blackstone.com

GoldenTree Asset Management is planning to acquire a “significant stake” in Austrian bank Bawag PSK Bank AG, according to a regulatory filing. Bawag said last month that it was seeking to raise new capital, via a transaction that would see current owner Cerberus Capital Management maintain its majority stake. www.bawagpsk.com

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. has agreed to invest up to C$250 million into Westbrick Energy Ltd., a private oil and gas company with current operations in the greater Pembina area of Alberta.
