Apollo Global Management has proposed a merger of television production companies Core Media Group (which it owns) and Endemol (in which it holds a 30% stake), according to WSJ. Core Media is responsible for American Idol, while Endemol owns the Big Brother franchise.
Burner Systems International Inc., a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based provider of gas-fueled appliance components, has acquired certain assets of CEM S.A. Group of Chile, a Chilean maker of top burners, valves and related components. No financial terms were disclosed.
