Mimecast, a Waltham, Mass.-based provider of email archiving, security and continuity solutions for Microsoft Exchange and Office products, has raised $62.15 million in Series C funding. Insight Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backer Dawn Capital. www.mimecast.com

IlluminOss Medical Inc., an East Providence, R.I.-based developer of photodynamic orthopedic implants, has raised $28 million in Series C funding. H&Q Funds and Life Sciences Partners co-led the round, and were joined by SR One, Excel Venture Management, Pappas Ventures and the Slater Technology Fund and return backers Foundation Medical Partners, Mieza Capital and New Leaf Venture Partners.www.illuminoss.com

Virtual Instruments, a San Jose, Calif.-based provider of infrastructure performance management solutions for physical, virtual and cloud computing environments, has raised $27.5 million in Series D funding. Next World Capital and General Catalyst Partners co-led the round, and were joined by return backer Lightspeed Venture Partners. Celeno Communications, an Israeli maker of Wi-Fi chips and software for HD multimedia and data home networking applications, has raised $24 million in Series E funding. Vintage Investment Partnerswas joined by return backers Cisco, Liberty Global,Greylock Partners, and Pitango Venture Capital.www.celeno.com

RAMP, a Boston-based content optimization platform, has raised $15 million in Series C funding.StarVest Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Fairhaven Capital, Accel Partners, General Catalyst Partners, and Comcast Ventures. The company previously raised $25 million.www.ramp.com

Duck Duck Moose, a San Francisco-based developer of educational apps for children, has raised $7 million in Series A funding. Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners co-led the round, and were joined by Stanford University. www.duckduckmoosedesign.com

V-Key Inc., a Redwood City, Calif.-based provider of mobile app intrusion protection and intelligence solutions, has raised $4 million in Series A funding from IPV Capital. www.v-key.com

Delivery Club, a Russian provide of an online platform for ordering take-out food, has raised $4 million in second-round funding from return backer Addventure. www.delivery-club.ru

SAManage Ltd., an Israel provider of cloud-based service desk and IT asset management solutions, has raised $3 million in VC funding from Carmel Ventures. www.samanage.com

Catavolt, an Alpharetta, Ga.-based enterprise mobility startup, has raised $1.5 million in Series A funding led by FCA Venture Partners. www.catavolt.com

Zumper, a San Francisco-based apartment rental platform, has raised $1 million in seed funding. Backers include Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Greylock Partners, CrunchFund, Dawn Capital, New Enterprise Associates and The Experiment Fund. www.zumper.com

Crowdbase, a Quebec City-based platform for managing enterprise content and internal resources, has raised C$650,000 in seed funding from Real Ventures, iNovia Capital and Martin-Luc Archambault.www.crowdbase.com

Airbnb, a San Francisco-based platform for short-term room and apartment rentals, is looking to raise around $100 million in third-round funding at a valuation of between $2 billion and $3 billion, according to TechCrunch. To date, the company has raised over $120 million from firms like Sequoia Capital, Youniversity Ventures, SV Angel, Greylock Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, CrunchFund, Digital Sky Technologies and General Catalyst Partners. www.airbnb.com

MyVR, an online management platform for vacation rental owners, has raised $1.4 million in seed funding from SV Angel and individual angels like Chris Dixon and Paul Buchheit. www.myvr.com
