Avaya has agreed to acquire RadVision Ltd. (Nasdaq: RVSN), an Israeli provider of videoconferencing and telepresence technologies over IP and wireless networks. The deal is valued at around $230 million, or $11.85 per share. Avaya owners include AlpInvest Partners, Apollo Global Management, NB Alternatives, Silver Lake Partners and TPG Capital. www.avaya.com

Inspection Oilfield Services, a portfolio company of Calvert Street Capital Partners, has acquired Castronics LLC, a Kimball, Neb.-based provider of OCTG threading, repair and storage services to pipe mills, distributors and E&P companies operating in the Rocky Mountains and Upper Midwest. Taldan Capital, a Canadian turnaround firm, has acquired Teledata Networks, a provider of multi-service access network technology, from Enablence Technologies (TSX: ENA). No financial terms were disclosed. www.taldancapital.com

Thomas Cook has received at least eight bids for its Indian unit, which could be valued at more than $260 million, according to Reuters. Suitors include Carlyle Group, KKR, TA Associates, Actis and Everstone Capital.
