The Blackstone Group is in early talks to acquire Avgol Industries 1953 Ltd., a listed Israeli maker of nonwoven fabrics, according to Bloomberg. News of the possible deal boosted Avgol shares by nearly 12%, for a market cap of approximately US$232 million. www.blackstone.com
