Pivot3 Inc., an Austin, Texas-based provider of unified storage and compute appliances, has raised $23 million in new equity funding. Samsung Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Focus Ventures, InterWest Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Mesirow Financial, Northleaf Capital Partners and Silver Creek Ventures.
