Motorola Atrix promo hits the web

Suddenly the smartphone in your pocket doesn’t seem so hot.

Motorola’s(MMI) Atrix was certainly the standout product of CES but I’m still waiting for some first hand usage before I’m ready to declare it a winner.  The Atrix has a 4″ 960×540 qHD display, dual core NVidia Tegra chip with 1GB of RAM.  If those seem more like low-end computer specs than smartphone specs, it is no surprise then that the Atrix can become a computer or mediacenter by putting it in various docks.

Here’s a little promo Motorola put together for the European market…

It may not turn out to be as amazing as this demo makes it seem, however.  Possible issues with this device include slow desktop performance, low battery life and too much Motorola Blur. Otherwise, this unseats the EVO as the monster spec champion Android device. If this thing sounds too good to be true, the price may be even more shocking.  Amazon and Costco both listed the Atrix at $150 with plan before they got pulled.  That’s not all.  If you believe this, that laptop shell/dock is $150 as well.  Atrix is due in a month on AT&T (T). Yes, AT&T.
