The company’s Power Network Coverage Tool lets anyone check network strength and availability by address or zip code. It comes across as an effort to boost its weak churn results and new customer sign-ups – and to counter Verizon’s effective “It’s the network” marketing campaign.
Sprint could frankly use some interface help. The tool itself looks cluttered, and very 2004. (It also has obvious glitches with Firefox and Safari on a Mac.) And it seems to be a slightly more detailed repurposing of its general coverage map, rather than a way of confirming that pesky dead spot down the block.
