In recent years, bars and restaurants around the country have rallied around July 24 as National Tequila Day, an opportunity to boost enthusiasm for the agave-based spirit. (The celebration is not to be confused with National Margarita Day, which is on Feb. 22.)
Here are some of the chains offering deals on margaritas on Monday:
On the Border: $2 house margaritas and tequila shots
Tio Juan’s Margaritas Mexican Restaurant: $5 regular and strawberry house margaritas
El Torito: $7 Patrón Silver margaritas or tequila shots from Thursday through Monday
Chevys Fresh Mex: The exact same deal as El Torito
Acapulco: Again, the exact same deal as El Torito and Chevys (the three share a parent company)
Abuelo’s: $6.95 premium margaritas
And, of course, check your favorite independent bar or Mexican restaurant for local deals.
