British Prime Minister Theresa May is not afraid to confront President Donald Trump.

In an exclusive interview with Vogue, May recalled their first meeting in January. She was under pressure then to confront the president over his “unacceptable talk” about women. While the two did not comment on these private conversations, May assured Vogue she’s not afraid to raise any issues.

“All I would say is, I’ve been very clear: I’m not afraid to raise issues and the nature of the relationship is such that we should be able to be frank and open with each other,” she said.

When it came to that image of Trump holding her hand outside the White House, May said she thought Trump was “actually being a gentleman.” She added: “We were about to walk down a ramp, and he said it might be a bit awkward.”

May is the second woman to be prime minister of the UK, which means she’s often compared to the first: Margaret Thatcher. Vogue asked May if this ever gets frustrating, to which she replied there could only be one Thatcher.

“I’m Theresa May,” she added. “I do things my way.”
