San Francisco may be the land of office Ping-Pong tables and cafeterias serving free organic lunch, but New York is still king of the workplace. We mapped the headquarters of each of the companies on the 2017 100 Best Companies to Work For list, along with their three largest locations, and found that a plurality of the biggest offices were in the Big Apple, which hosts companies like Goldman Sachs (GS), Accenture (ACN), and Deloitte. Chicago, with major locations for companies including Baird and Mars, was the runner-up (though fewer companies had headquarters there). The takeaway for job seekers? Most of the largest cities in the U.S. and the majority of states host at least one major office of a Best Company to Work For. No Ping-Pong tables required.
