Carl Icahn has reached an agreement to sell the defunct Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City to a group of investors led by Hard Rock International, Icahn said in a statement Wednesday.
President Trump opened the casino nearly 30 years ago, but is not affiliated with the property anymore.
“After considerable analysis and deliberation we determined that we only wanted to own one operating casino property in Atlantic City,” Icahn said in a statement reported by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Icahn also owns the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City.
