The nuts and bolts of President Donald Trump’s “fine-tuned machine” are gearing up for the second day of the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday in Maryland.
Figures who have been at the center of media attention in recent weeks, including senior Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, Vice President Mike Pence and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus are expected to speak before conservative activists.
The four-day long convention, which started Wednesday, will be a mix of speeches, panel discussions, breakfasts and book signings.
Trump is expected to talk at 10:20 a.m. on Friday. Last year, Trump, then a presidential candidate, cancelled his scheduled speech at the annual event. At the time, some conservatives were trying to stymie Trump’s rise.
