Burger King (BKW) may have taken Mac n’ Cheetos off its menu, but the food mash-up lives on at another chain.
The “Dangerously Cheesy reimagination of mac n’ cheese,” as PepsiCo (PEP) described them, has been spotted at Sheetz (SHEETZ). The Impulsive Buy was the first to see the cheesy item being sold for $2.99 at one location, and Consumerist reportedly saw the food at a different location for 50 cents more. The convenience store is offering Mac n’ Cheetos for a limited time through the Sheetz Apps menu alongside various other fried foods, including Mac n’ Cheese Bites.
Burger King first introduced Mac n’ Cheetos over the summer, offering them for a limited time at the recommended price of $2.49. It’s essentially fried mac and cheese coated with flavoring from Cheetos, a PepsiCo brand. The limited time offer has since ended, and fans will have to get their fix at Sheetz instead of the burger chain.
