Donald Trump just racked up a little support from Clint Eastwood.

Although it wasn’t an official endorsement, Eastwood told Esquire that if he had to pick between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, “I’d have to go for Trump,” he said.

“You know, ’cause she’s declared that she’s gonna follow in Obama’s footsteps,” he said of Clinton. “There’s been just too much funny business on both sides of the aisle. She’s made a lot of dough out of being a politician.”

Trump’s bluntness and tell-it-like-he-thinks-it attitude—although often times unfiltered—is something that Eastwood understands, but doesn’t always agree with, he told Esquire. But to the actor, the Republican presidential candidate’s frankness is refreshing.

“Secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up. That’s the kiss-ass generation we’re in right now,” Eastwood told Esquire. “Everybody’s walking on eggshells. We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist.”

As for Trump’s controversial comments in the past, Eastwood brought up one of the most questionable pronouncements Trump has made during his campaign: accusing the Mexican judge presiding over the Trump University case of being biased because of his heritage.

“You know, he’s a racist now because he’s talked about this judge,” Eastwood said. “And yeah, it’s a dumb thing to say. I mean, to predicate your opinion on the fact that the guy was born to Mexican parents or something. He’s said a lot of dumb things. So have all of them. Both sides. But everybody—the press and everybody’s going, ‘Oh, well, that’s racist,’ and they’re making a big hoodoo out of it.” Added Eastwood with his own characteristic bluntness: “Just fucking get over it. It’s a sad time in history.”
