Rapper and pop icon Kanye West has unveiled plans to open up a temporary pop-up store in New York City this weekend.
The store will be open for four hours on Friday and eight hours on both Saturday and Sunday at 83 Wooster, which is located in the trendy SoHo shopping district in downtown Manhattan. The announcement was made via a tweet – West’s preferred way to talk directly to fans – just a day before the store is set to open.
Interestingly, the “Pablo” pop up will be located less than two blocks away from the DASH clothing store, which is owned by West’s wife Kim Kardashian and two of her sisters, reality TV stars Kourtney and Khloé.
West didn’t say what will be stocked in the store – nor did he even say if he would even attend the pop up. Pablo is a reference to the rapper’s latest album, “The Life of Pablo,” which was released only on the Tidal music service that is the brainchild of fellow musician and entrepreneur Jay Z.
As CNBC reports, the retail store likely won’t be selling new Yeezy Boost shoes – which West has designed in collaboration with German athletic gear maker Adidas. Adidas recently sent out a tweet saying there was no planned release this month.
