What Time Is Tonight’s $1.5 Billion Powerball Drawing?

January 13, 2016, 9:12 PM UTC

Tonight could be someone’s very, very lucky night.

The drawing for the biggest lottery jackpot in U.S. history will take place at 10:59 PM EST.

Local stations will be airing the results (click here to channel in your city), but you can also stream it online on the Powerball’s website.

The money generated from this record-setting lottery goes mainly (50%) to the winner. Another 29% goes towards education, which is what the majority of the participating 44 states allocate the money for. This money, though, doesn’t appear to offer a significant boost to the education system in the long run.

If you bought a ticket, good luck! And if not, tune in to see if a lucky person’s dreams will come true.
