Has there ever been a cohort as closely watched as the people who wear Apple on their wrist?
In this week’s survey of Apple Watch (AAPL) owners—the 33rd in Bernard Desarnauts’ Wristly project—we learn with some precision how much it would bother the early adopters to discover that they’d left home without their Watch.
- 61% said they’d go back to get the device if it wouldn’t make them late.
- 11% said they’d go back no matter what.
To get a feel for how attached these people were to other objects in their life, Desarnauts asked the 72% who said they would head back home what else would make them turn around. The results:
I left home without my Apple Watch just yesterday. I confess it bothered me some. I was going to play tennis and I wanted credit for the calories I’d be burning. I didn’t turn back, though. It would have made me late.
