The Sweet Leaf Tea Company has issued a voluntary recall in cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration.

A glass breakage occurred during the filling process, which resulted in some fragments falling into the drink. Sweet Leaf has since received four complaints from customers, and no injuries have been reported.

The recall only affects certain products — including Sweet Leaf Original, Raspberry, Half & Half Lemonade Tea, Green Tea with Citrus, Peach, and Mint & Honey — and is limited to 16-ounce glass bottles that were sold this year between Feb. 27 and Dec. 6.

Customers should check the manufacturing code on either the case or on the iced tea bottle itself to determine if the product they purchased is included in the recall. If it is, they can request a replacement or return it to the store for a refund. Any of the affected merchandise that has yet to be purchased is being taken off of store shelves.
