Bigger bins may quell fight for overhead space

Boeing now offers its airline customers the option of larger overhead bins for the B-737. The bins can also be retrofitted in older planes. The new design accommodates six standard carry-ons, two more than the older bins, which is very good news for passengers now fighting for overhead space. Alaska Airlines will be the first carrier to offer the bins, beginning in late 2015.
