Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has come under fire for his recent comments about Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

Trump’s response to the criticism? He’d like an apology, please.

Trump, the billionaire real estate mogul and reality television star, told MSNBC on Monday morning that Kelly owes him an apology after she dared to ask him to explain some of his previous misogynistic comments during last week’s Republican primary debate, which Fox News hosted. Trump told MSNBC in a phone interview that Kelly “asked me a very inappropriate question . . . [she] should really be apologizing to me if you want to know the truth.”

Trump has been criticized for his response to Kelly’s supposedly “inappropriate” line of questioning. Over the weekend, Trump said, referring to Kelly, that there was “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” during the debate, which many people interpreted as a reference to menstruation. Trump has claimed the remark was misinterpreted, but the backlash already cost him a speaking engagement at the RedState Gathering, a conservative event over the weekend that featured several other Republican presidential hopefuls.

The Trump presidential campaign has already had its fair share of controversy, including outrage over his derogatory comments about Mexicans and insults aimed at U.S. Senator John McCain. Several corporate partners have cut ties with Trump in recent months, including Macy’s (M) and mattress giant Serta.
