"Utilize LinkedIn to its fullest capacity by updating your profile to mirror your resume and join user groups and participate in discussions, and connect with former colleagues. When connecting with former colleagues, ask for recommendations to highlight career successes. Also, create a Twitter account to post insightful and interesting tweets to create your professional brand in the marketplace."

15 Adobe Systems

Adobe (ADBE) is currently recruiting hundreds of positions, with approximately half located in the United States and 20 percent filled internally to support employee growth and development.

Job title with the largest number of openings: enterprise sales representatives, software engineers and data scientists. The company approximately 170 positions available for these roles globally but the number is expected to increase.

Also, Accenture's federal practice is looking for individuals with both technology skills and security clearance.

Job title with the largest number of openings: Entry-level positions. For experienced candidates, there's a demand for technical skills (such as SAP and WorkDay) and industry skills (health and resources) with an increasing focus on mobility and analytics.

Secrets to impressing their recruiters: "When you are reviewing job descriptions, the No. 1 thing is to pay attention to the basic qualifications for the role. These are 'must haves,' and if you meet them, make sure your resume reflects that clearly. If you don't, keep searching for the role that's right for you. Also, make sure to update your information as necessary.
