Illumina (Nasdaq: ILMN) has agreed to acquire Verinata Health Inc., a San Carlos, Calif.-based maternal and fetal healthcare company whose first product is a non-invasive prenatal diagnostic test. The deal is valued at $350 million, plus up to another $100 million in milestone-based payments. Verinata Health in 2011 raised a $46.5 million Series C round from Mohr Davidow Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures and Alloy Ventures. In other Illumina news, the company is no longer an acquisition target of Roche, according to a Swiss newspaper interview with Roche chairman Franz Humer. EagleView Technologies, a Bothell, Wash.–based provider of automated 3D measurement technologies and analysis solutions, has acquired Pictometry International, a Rochester, N.Y.–based provider of geo-referenced aerial image capture and visual-centric data analytics.
