Hellman & Friedman has agreed to sell residential HVAC equipment maker Goodman Global toDaikin Industries (Tokyo: 6367) for around $3.7 billion. Hellman & Friedman acquired Goodman Global in late 2007 for $2.65 billion (including assumed debt). There had been talks of a sale to Daikin beginning in early 2011.
