CellEra, an Israel-based developer of platinum-free fuel cell technology, has raised $9.2 million in new VC funding. Vodafone Ventures led the round, and was joined by Carmel Ventures.

BestVendor, a New York-based provider of social recommendations for purchasing decisions, has raised $3 million in Series A funding. RRE Ventures and SoftBank Capital co-led the round, and was joined Old Willow Partners and return backer Lerer Ventures.

Trivone Digital, an Indian digital media and content services company, has raised an undisclosed amount of VC funding from Accel Partners. Some of the proceeds are expected to be used for acquisitions.
