BP PLC has agreed to sell its Canadian natural gas liquids unit to Plains All American (NYSE: PAA) for $1.67 billion in cash. www.bp.com

Berkshire Hathaway has agreed to buy the Omaha World-Herald Company, publisher of Nebraska’s largest newspaper. The deal is valued at $150 million plus assumption of debt.
