AcuFocus Inc., an Irvine, Calif.-based maker of a corneal inlay for treating near-vision loss (presbyopia), has raised $65 million in new financing. The first $40 million is equity, from Cowen Healthcare Royalty Partners, Medtronic and return backers SV Life Sciences, Versant Ventures, Carlyle Group, Accuitive Medical Ventures and Bausch & Lomb. The other $25 million is a synthetic royalty investment from Cowen.

LogiXML, a McLean, Va.-based provider of Web-based business intelligence software, has raised $10 million in growth equity funding. Summit Partners led the round, and was joined by return backer Grotech Ventures.

VMTurbo, a Waltham, Mass.-based provider of workload management software in virtualized environments, has raised $10 million in Series B funding from return backers Bain Capital Ventures andHighland Capital

Onestop Internet Inc., a Los Angeles-based provider of ecommerce services to consumer brands, has raised $9.15 million in new strategic funding from Fung Capital USA. Onestop previously raised VC funding from Bessemer Venture Partners.

NuCana BioMed, a British developer of oncology therapeutics, has raised £6.74 million in Series A funding. Sofinnova Partners led the round, and was joined by Morningside Ventures, Scottish Investment Bank’s Scottish Venture Fund and Alida Capital International.
